1. Protection

Filtration efficiency refers to the percentage of particulate matter (solid, liquid or solid and liquid particulate matter suspended in the air, such as microorganisms, dust, smoke and fog) filtered by protective clothing. According to GB standard, the filtration efficiency of non oily particles at key parts of protective clothing and joints shall not be less than 70%.

2. Comfort

The main index of comfort is moisture permeability. In order to enhance the protective effect, the protective clothing fabric is usually laminated or coated, which is not conducive to sweat and heat removal for a long time. The improvement of the moisture permeability of medical protective clothing can improve the taking experience of medical staff and reduce the stuffy feeling and physical discomfort caused by long-term work. In addition, skin irritation is also the comfort index requirement in GB standard. Protective clothing can not bring uncomfortable skin irritation to users.

3. Physical and mechanical properties

Physical and mechanical properties mainly refer to the strength and durability of medical protective clothing materials. Avoid tearing, puncture and damage due to external forces, and provide channels for the transmission of bacteria and viruses, so as to weaken the protective effect. GB standard has clear requirements for breaking strength and breaking elongation of protective clothing materials, while EU standard EN 14126:2003 (performance requirements and test methods of anti viral protective clothing) requires protective clothing materials to have certain wear resistance, tear resistance and puncture resistance.

4. Safety

Safety is the consideration of the safety of medical staff, patients and surrounding environment. For example, it is required in gb19082 standard

Antistatic property is to prevent dust and bacteria adsorbed by static electricity from being harmful to patients and surrounding personnel, and to prevent sparks generated by static electricity from detonating volatile gases in the operating room and affecting the accuracy of precision instruments. Microorganism, non combustion supporting and ethylene oxide residue after sterilization are also important safety indicators.

Through the above interpretation, we realize that a qualified medical protective clothing is very important for medical staff.
